SYSTEM FOR COMBINED CONTROL OF A SERVO CLUTCH AND THE ENGINE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

The invention relates to a system for combined control of a servo clutch and the engine of a motor vehicle. The servo clutch (11) and the engine (10) are arranged in the drive train of the motor vehicle. When a given operating mode exists, specially during low vehicle speeds, e.g. when the vehicle is started, the servo clutch (11) and the engine (10) are controlled in such a way that the position of the accelerator pedal determines the acceleration (a soll) or the speed of the vehicle. According to the invention, the accelerator pedal is scaled as an acceleration or speed pedal during the start process whereas the drive train is normally controlled outside the start process on the basis of the position of the accelerator pedal (14) according to output or momentum scale.
