Device for mounting a probe to the exhaust manifold

The device has a sealing joint e.g. a circular ring (9) that allows sealing of connection between an exhaust manifold, an intermediate piece (3) e.g. heat shield, and an exhaust gas oxygen sensor (6). The U section of the ring surrounds an opening (3a) of the shield so that the two branches of U extend over two sides of the shield. The ring has radius slightly lower than the opening to have a radial clearance inside the opening.
