PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately correct variation of error caused by secular change of a member of an internal combustion engine with respect to an injection command value of the fuel. SOLUTION: In this fuel injection device of the internal combustion engine, an ECU 5 previously stores a corresponding relation for matching an operating state with a correction amount in each of a plurality of progress stages of the secular change, determines the present secular change state corresponds to which of a plurality of progress stages, and selects the corresponding relation based on the determining result. Thus, even when the secular change of the error to be corrected is not a secular change of the same tendency depending on the operating state, an appropriate correction can be performed with reference to the corresponding relation for matching the operating state with the correction amount in each progress stage of the secular change. Additionally, the secular change of the internal combustion engine proceeds relatively moderately, so that an appropriate corresponding relation can be set during each progress stage.
