PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyhole protection device capable of preventing the dust from getting into a keyhole and preventing an unjustified tool from being inserted for unlocking purposes. SOLUTION: The keyhole protection device 1 has a fixed plate section 2 mounted on the surface 4a of a plate body 4 wherein the keyhole is formed and a movable plate section 3 mounted to the fixed plate section 2 through a hinge 6 in an openable manner. A through-hole 7 leading to the keyhole is formed in the fixed plate section 2, and the movable plate section 3 is so made that the through-hole 7 can be covered to cover the keyhole when it is closed. The fixed plate section 2 and the movable plate section 3 become a locking state by engaging a latch provided to one of these two sections 2 and 3 with a latch approach section provided to the other section in a releasable manner.
