<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a troidal type continuously variable transmission capable of improving durability of respective parts composing a variator and of obtaining sufficient power transmission efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In the troidal type continuously variable transmission, power is transmitted to the output side disk 4 from the input side disk 2 through the medium of the power roller 11 by traction force through lubricating oil film formed on traction surfaces 11a of interfaces between the power roller 11, and the input side disk 2 and between the power roller 11 and the output side disk 4.
