PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device obtaining a color picture without color slippage, and also to provide an optical scanner suitable for the image forming device. SOLUTION: The optical scanner 1 comprises an optical deflector 5 which collectively deflects four laser beams L of Y, M, C and B corresponding to color components which are color-separated, first to third return mirrors 33B, 33Y, 33M, 33C, 35Y, 35M, 35C, 37Y, 37M and 37C which guide the four laser beams deflected by the optical deflector to each of first to fourth photoreceptor drums 58 (Y, M, C and B) on which the corresponding pictures are formed and first to fourth parallel and flat glasses 39B, 39Y, 39M and 39C which are arranged at specified angles for the four laser beams returned toward the photoreceptor drums by the respective mirrors.
