The suspension strut has an auxiliary spring (6), acting between the wheel guide (1) and the vehicle body (2) so that it avoids the thrust bearing (5). A support pot (11) for this spring rests on the body and is fitted in the spring seat (10) for the suspension spring (3). This seat is in the form of a pot with a circular collar (10c).
