PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive film for use in obtaining a flexible metal clad laminated sheet suppressed in the coccurrence of a dimensional change when manufactured by a lamination method, and the flexible metal clad laminated sheet obtained by laminating a metal foil to the adhesive film. SOLUTION: The adhesive film is constituted by providing an adhesive layer containing a thermoplastic polyimide at least on one side of an insulating film and the flexible metal clad laminated sheet is obtained by laminating the metal foil to the adhesive film. The adhesive film is characterized in that the tensile elastic modulus in the MD direction of the insulating film is 6.5-12 GPa, the coefficient of thermal expansion thereof at 50-200°C is 3-20 ppm/°C and the tensile elastic modulus in the MD direction of the adhesive film is 5.5-11 GPa.
