PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems such that, in a bottom surface water-supplying method by using a piece of string for irrigating water to potted plants, in the case of using a transparent water-storing vessel for easy control of the plants, its appreciative value is reduced by the appearance of the strings; in order to raise the appreciative value, when using a non-transparent material for the water storing vessel, it becomes difficult to control the plants since the inside water level is hardly discernible; and also it is necessary to have a structure for maintaining the strings for supplying water in a shape for performing its role, as different from the strings. SOLUTION: This string for supplying water is provided by installing a tubular cover opened up its upper and lower ends at the outside of the string for supplying water to raise the appreciative value, also eliminating the structure for holding the shape of the string by giving a strength to the strings for supplying water made as one unit with the covers. By supplying water to the bottom surface of the planted pots placed on a water-supplying mat laid on an upper plate installed on the string for supplying water made as one unit with the covers, the difficulty of controlling plants is solved.
