PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle with an auxiliary power source, which bicycle can be folded to be compact by a simple operation, and can be used as a carry-back after folding, and can achieve a noiseless and light bicycle by utilizing a horizontal force of a linear motor as the auxiliary power. SOLUTION: In the bicycle with the auxiliary power source, a connecting member 10 for connecting a base frame 5, a front wheel 2, and a handle shaft 8 is configured as a swing-able hinge structure. As a result, the bicycle can be folded by swinging the front wheel 2 rearward so as to move up to the upper rear portion of the base frame 5 and so as to be put on the base frame 5. In this case, because the swing motion can be carried out in the state that a rear wheel 1 is kept stationary on the ground, lifting of the bicycle is unnecessary. In addition, because the bicycle can advance by directly turning the axle 4 of the rear wheel 1, a chain becomes unnecessary. As a result, the folded size of the bicycle becomes furthermore compact.
