PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing apparatus in which erroneous operation being unrelated to a user is prevented when reproduction is desired from continuance again after displaying a menu screen, and to enable recovering easily even when a menu key is erroneously pressed during reproduction or the like. SOLUTION: When a menu key is pressed, such a message of resume reproduction is displayed on a menu screen 31 that "if you press a menu key, reproduction is started from continuance", therefore, when reproducing again from continuance is desired, a user understands that the menu key is pressed again, resume reproduction is performed, thereby, performing erroneous operation unrelated to the user is prevented, also even when the menu key is erroneously pressed during reproduction or the like. recovering can be performed easily, and therefore, the operability of the optical disk recording apparatus is improved.
