PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect the body weight of a subject on a cradle. SOLUTION: A servomotor 22 is driven to move a cradle 21 that loads a subject H is on; a command value Io, at the time the cradle 21 moves at a constant speed, of a drive current of the servomotor 22 is obtained; and the body weight of the subject H is obtained by reading out a body weight, corresponding to the command value Io, from a body weight LUT 12. Therefore, there is neither a variation in the moving speed of the cradle 21 with the body weight of the subject H, nor a necessity to increase the power to drive the cradle 21 step by step.
