PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle material made of alumina fiber or a polishing tool based on a polishing material made of alumina fiber which is convenient for executing polishing or deburring to finished products or half-finished products of all industrial worlds. SOLUTION: The bristle material 11 is manufactured as follows. At least one kind of abrasive grains among polishing abrasive grains 131, diamond abrasive grains 112, and metal abrasive grains 122 is mixed into the bristles 111 made of alumina fiber. For example, the bristles are formed by bundling several bristles to several thousands of bristles and hardened by a binder. A mineral generating negative ions and at least one kind of abrasive grains among the polishing abrasive grains, the metal abrasive grains, and the diamond abrasive grains are mixed into the polishing material made of alumina fiber, a synthetic resin member or a metal member.
