The retaining member (1'), designed to form a lock catch or bolt, consists of at least two adjoining elements made to form a thickness that it resistant to breakage or deformation in the event of impact. The two elements can be held together inside an overmoulded sleeve (12); they can be held apart by spacers creating a gap filled with the overmoulding material, e.g. a plastic, or they can be welded or stuck together.
