A radiation curable adhesive composition which includes: a) an alpha,beta-olefinically unsaturated ether monomer component consisting of one or more compounds having the formula: <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?>R[O-CH-CHR<SUP>1</SUP>]<SUB>n</SUB> (I)<?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?> where R is an n-valent carbon-linked organic group R<SUP>1 </SUP>is H or a monovalent carbon-linked organic group and n has a value of 1 or more, b) an elastomeric polymer having a tensile strength at break of greater than 1500 psi (10342 kPa), and an elongation at break of greater than 100%, and c) a cationic photoinitiator.
