The booth has a conveying device for moving a vehicle body (2) in the booth along a conveying direction. Spraying robots (16) have sprayers for spraying the body. Opening frames (28-30) are provided for opening an engine cowl, a trunk lid and front and rear doors of the body, respectively. The frames are mounted on carriages so that the frames are moved on horizontal guiding rails parallel to the conveying direction. An independent claim is also included for a method of applying paint or powder on inner parts of a body of a motor vehicle.
