PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching apparatus for enhancing a degree of design freedom of the apparatus housing of an electronic apparatus while downsizing the cover mechanism. SOLUTION: Two openable/closable cover members 3a, 3b are provided onto the housing 1 of a mobile phone terminal. The two cover members 3a, 3b are moved in directions of arrows 13a, 13b in interlocking with a slide operation in an arcuate direction shown in the arrow 12 of a slide knob 2. Thus, the covers are opened. Conversely, when the slide knob 2 is slid in the arcuate direction opposite to the arrow 12, the two cover members 3a, 3b are moved in directions opposite to the arrows 13a, 13b in interlocking with the slide operation.
