PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat driving type actuator which is low in hysteresis in displacement characteristics and a simple manufacture and to provide a method of manufacturing the same and an optical fiber fastening implement. SOLUTION: The heat driving type actuator includes a plurality of layers 11, 12 made of materials having different thermal expansion coefficients, a thermal expansion article 13 formed so that the plurality of the layers 11, 12 alternately become large and small in thermal expansion coefficients, and a heating means for heating this thermal expansion article 13.
