PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column device capable of preventing a rolling element from being rolled from the tightening position to the untightening position by a compact structure, and maximizing the tightening force of a steering column. SOLUTION: In the steering column device, when rolling elements 75 and 75 are abutted on A faces 616 and 616 as tightening side stoppers and stopped, engagement projections 83 and 83 formed on tips of folded parts of a leaf spring 8 are engaged with engagement grooves 610 and 610 of a left side tightening member 61. A turning member 7 and the left side tightening member 61 are attracted to each other by the spring force of the leaf spring 8 in the axial direction of a tightening rod 5. Even when a hand is detached from an operation lever 71, the turning member 7 can be retained at the tightening position P1 so as not to be turned to the untightening position P2 side with respect to the left side tightening member 61 by the attracting force.
