METHOD FOR PRODUCING CULTURE MEDIUM FOR PHA-PRODUCING MICROORGANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent method for producing a culture medium for producing a PHA ä(a polyhydroxyalkanoic acid) which may contain a PHB (poly-β-hydroxybutyrate)}. SOLUTION: The PHA is produced by proliferating a PHA-producing microorganism in a certain culture medium and the microbial cell is then destroyed to dissolve contents of the cell. The undissolved PHA is separated and harvested. At least a part of residues after conversion into a solution at the time are used to produce the culture medium for producing the PHA. Thereby, the productivity can be improved by recycling materials which have hitherto been disposed of. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
