The throttle control has a cylinder (2) with a piston inside which can move with a piston rod between a lower final section (7) and an upper final section. The piston rod stands (4) from the cylinder and the throttle control are built into the motor vehicle producing an open flap in the upper final section of the cylinder. The closed flap is in a defined subrange (8) of the cylinder being between the two final sections. The defined subrange has a high absorption in relation to the adjacent ranges.
