<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical integrated unit, an optical pickup system and an optical disk system which are miniaturized and where a circuit for an arithmatic part is simplified. <P>SOLUTION: The optical integrated unit is provided with a semiconductor laser for irradiating an optical disk with a laser beam, a diffraction grating for forming a main beam and two sub beams from the laser beam, a polarization hologram 1 for splitting reflected light from the optical disk, and an optical detector for detecting the reflected light. The polarization hologram 1 comprises a first split line 51 formed along a direction optically corresponding to the radial direction of the rotation of the optical disk. An incident area 45 of the main beam M is split with the first split line 51 as a boundary, and an incident area 46 of a sub beam A and an incident area 47 of a sub beam B are arranged so as to avoid the first split line 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
