METHOD FOR ENHANCING OPERATION OF A DEBARKING ROLLER ASSEMBLY, AS WELL AS PICK-UP ROLL TO BE INCLUDED IN A DEBARKING ROLLER ASSEMBLY

The invention relates to a method for enhancing operation of a debarking roller assembly (1), as well as to a pick-up roll (6) to be included in the debarking roller assembly (1) for enhancing operation of the roller assembly, said roller assembly being adapted to remove barks (2) from a flow of timber progressing therealong transversely to the roller assembly's rollers (3) and containing trees (5) and bark (2) stripped off the trees and having the barks (2) at least partially entangled around the trees (5) and wedged between trees or between tress and the roller assembly. In the method, at least in one spot of the debarking roller assembly (1), the trees (5) are subjected to a combination of lifting motion, lateral movement, and rolling action around the longitudinal axis of a tree (5), for disengaging the trees, presently in said at least one spot, at least momentarily and at least partially off from the debarking roller assembly (1) and from other trees (5) presently at the roller assembly.
