PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of difficulty keeping a contactless IC card close to a detection antenna. SOLUTION: This note identification device has a read/write part of the contactless IC card 26 provided in a note identification part. The read/write part comprises a detection antenna 33 provided inside a front panel section 22, and a reader/writer circuit 35 connected to the detection antenna 33. A holding means 27 for holding the noncontact IC card 26 in a position opposite and close to the detection antenna 33 is provided. Thus, the contactless IC card 26 can be positioned oppositely and close to the detection antenna 33 and can easily be held in that state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
