PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processing apparatus for achieving crime prevention by effectively limiting an inventory function and appropriately establishing the presence or absence of the operation of the inventory function according to the purpose of a user. SOLUTION: The coin processing apparatus is configured to previously selectably establish the permission or inhibition of an inventory operation at the initial sate in turning on a power supply by means of an inventory selection switch SW at the coin processing apparatus side before turning on the power supply. The configuration immediately forms an inventory inhibition state by the coin processing apparatus itself when the inhibition of the inventory operation is established in turning on the power supply to prevent the crime, including mischief, theft, and the like aimed at the timing of turning on the power supply.
