PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely and automatically remove dust and dirt collected by a screen from the screen by jetting a pressure fluid against the surface of the screen while oscillating an injection nozzle. SOLUTION: This dust collector 1 holds the screen 10 for collecting dust and dirt 3 in a flowing water 8. The collector comprises a shaft body 21 rotatably in a base 5 and having an axis positioned in a direction parallel with the surface, one or more injection nozzles 24 fitted to the shaft body 21 and jetting the pressure water (pressure fluid) against the surface of the screen 10, and a nozzle oscillating means 30 rotating the shaft body 21 to oscillate the injection nozzle about the axis through a specified angle range.
