PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate modifications and changes in a program for control. SOLUTION: The program for control is stored in a program storage part 2 by rewritable or recordable ROM, and a control part 6 controls analytical operation of an analytical part 4, according to the program stored in the program storage part 2. Measured data by a detector 8 of the analytical part 4 are stored in a data storage part 10. This analyzer 1 is provided with a reader/writer 14. A portable storage medium 12, such as a CF card, can be attached to and removed from the reader/writer 14. The program for control is updated, by writing software stored in the storage medium 12 in the program storage part 2 of the ROM via a temporary storage part 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
