The sheath has a front part (2), a back part (3) and side parts (4) that are formed from one piece of material such as leather, plastic, paper, cardboard or textile material, where the parts (2, 3, 4) are connected together by a base part (5). A fixing medium (6) e.g. glue, seam, press or welded joints, connects the side parts to protruding edges of front and back parts. A latch (9) connects a flap (8) with the front part.
