<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst carrying electrode in which high initial cell voltage and superior durability are obtained, and as a result, a high catalyst activity is performed for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: In the catalyst carrying electrode that contains an electrocatalyst that carries catalyst metal particulates composed of platinum or platinum alloy on a conductive carrier and an electrolyte polymer, the electrocatalyst is a mixture of the electrocatalyst A in which insides of the pores of the conductive carrier are not carried with the catalyst metal particulates, and the electrocatalyst B in which insides of the pores of the conductive carrier are carried with the catalyst metal particulates, and the problem of the subject is solved by the catalyst carrying electrode provided as above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
