PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a design parameter from being changed when not required to be conformed with design, in automatic design executed by changing design parameters sequentially. SOLUTION: An initial data for a design data or the like is acquired in design assisting (S10) to display a design establishing range for an design object (S12). The design establishing range means an allowance range for design arrangement capable of arranging design as it is, without requiring the change of the design parameter of the design object. The propriety of conformity to the design is requested to be judged by a user, and an indication therefor is acquired (S14, S16), so as to be sorted into a procedure A:usual design assist or a procedure B: simplified design assist, according thereto (S18-S22). The design parameter is changed sequentially to adapt the design object to the design for conducting the optimum design, in the procedure A: usual design assist, and the design parameter is not changed in the procedure B: simplified design assist.
