PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave antenna system employing an approximated Luneberg lens that establishes the compatibility between a high gain and a low side lobe. SOLUTION: The radio wave lens antenna system is configured by combining a radio wave lens antenna 1 made of a dielectric body for satisfying a condition of 0<a≤r, wherein (a) is a distance from the surface of a lens 4 to the focus of the lens and (r) is the radius of the lens, with a primary radiator 2 having a 10 dB beam widthθ, wherein a value A obtained by a formula A=θ/2×(1+2a/r) is 40 to 80, and more preferably, 50 to 70.
