The electromagnetic gear-shift control of the parent Specification is provided with a second vehicle driven centrifugal switch e<SP>1</SP> which closes at a speed above that of the existing centrifugal switch e to energize the upshift relay c, thus preventing downshift action by the driver operating the accelerator-controlled switches #<SP>1</SP>, #<SP>2</SP>, #<SP>3</SP>, and #<SP>4</SP>, above a required speed, and also enforcing upshift above that speed. In Fig. 2 (not shown), the two switches #<SP>2</SP>, #<SP>3</SP> of Fig. 1 are replaced by a normally open switch and the normally closed switch #<SP>4</SP> of Fig. 1 is normally open. |
