FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises applying a material with the shape memory effect on the blank of the bolt and assembling the bolt joint. The material is applied on the surface of the blank before making the thread. The thread is made by knurling at a temperature of the martensitic transformation of the material. The assembling is performed at the same temperature with subsequent heating of the bolt joint until the threaded part of the bolt is pressed into the threaded part of the members to be joined.
