摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact lens (CL) material which has high oxygen permeability and mechanical strength, is extremely little in an amount of remaining unpolymerized monomers, is low in water absorption and is excellent in the shape stability of a lens. SOLUTION: The CL material is composed of a copolymer obtained by polymerizing a copolymerization component including specific silicone-containing monomers, wherein the total of the residues of the unpolymerized monomer components remaining in the copolymer with respect to the copolymer is≤3.5wt%, the oxygen transmission factor of the copolymer is≥130x10<SP>-11</SP>(cm<SP>2</SP>/sec)x(mLO<SB>2</SB>)/(mLxmmHg) and the water absorption of the copolymer is≤0.3wt%.
