PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery terminal allowing a screw member to be vertically fastened for improving workability for mounting it to a battery post. SOLUTION: This battery terminal 1 is equipped with: a cable connection part 21 connected to a battery cable BC; a fastening part 22 mounted to the battery post BP; a bottom part 23 horizontally expanded outside the fastening part 22; and an upper part 24 disposed oppositely to the upper side of the bottom part 23. The battery terminal is mounted to the battery post BP by inserting a fastening bolt 3 into a fastening hole 242a formed in the upper part 24 and thereafter fastening it by screwing it to a female screw hole 231a of the bottom part 23 to lower cam surfaces 244a and 244b formed in the upper part 24, and by fastening a fastening part 22 engaged therewith to reduce its diameter.
