PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance durability while improving operation feeling when moving up and down an axial mate member. SOLUTION: The slide lock device is equipped with a base 2 in which a taper means 7 intersecting the axial direction is provided to an opposing portion to an axial mate member 6, a lock piece 3 for locking relative movement between the mate member 6 and the base 2 by friction force by being sandwiched between the mate member 6 and the taper means 7 in a press-contacting state, and an elastic member 4 for energizing the lock piece 3 in a press-contacting direction. In the lock piece 3, the friction force is increased by a relative movement in one direction of the mate member 6 so as to be rotated following the movement and moved in the friction force reducing direction by the relative movement in an opposed direction.
