PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to check the duration of the emergency lighting of a guide light accurately. SOLUTION: The guide light 100 has a lamp 35 which is turned on by electricity from a commercial power supply 1, and a battery power supply 28 which supplies electricity to the lamp 35 when the electricity from the commercial power supply 1 to the lamp 35 stops. Further, the light comprises an inspection switch 38 for breaking the connection of the lamp 35 and the commercial power supply 1 in response to the operation of an inspector, a transistor 10 which outputs a signal in conjunction with the inspection switch 38, a timer IC 16 which starts to count a predetermined time simultaneously with the output of the signal from the transistor 10, a lamp current detecting resistance 27 for detecting a supply voltage of the battery power supply 28, and an LED 21 which turns on when the voltage between both ends of the lamp current detecting resistance 27 indicates that the supply voltage of the battery power supply 28 falls below a predetermined threshold.
