PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmitting system for making mobile terminals position their present positions, in a short period of time, independently of their moving distances or the number thereof. SOLUTION: This information transmitting system 10 is equipped with an information server 3 for generating information on the respective orbits of a plurality of GPS satellites 9 for transmitting GPS signals Sg, and a radio base station 2 for transmitting the information, on the respective orbits to a portable phone 1 for positioning its present position by receiving the GPS signals Sg. The base station 2 executes at least one of an extraction process and an additional process in transmitting the information on the respective orbits. In the extraction process, orbit information is extracted as a transmitting object, on a GPS satellite 9 geographically visible from either the base station 2 or the portable phone 1. In additional processings, singled-out information enabling it to single out the visible GPS satellite 9 is added, as a transmitting object, to the information on the respective orbits.
