PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner easily and sanitarily removing dust attached to not only one filter but also the other filter of a multistage filter. SOLUTION: A dust collecting case 30 disposed on the upstream side of an electric blower 13 in a cleaner body 2 is fixed with an upstream filter 41 and is provided with a downstream filter 35 catching the dust passing through the upstream filter 41. This vacuum cleaner is characterized in that an upstream dust removing device 46 removing the dust of the upstream filter 41 and a downstream dust removing device 19 removing the dust of the downstream filter 35 are associated with each other by an association means 61.
