EXHAUST MANIFOLD FOR MULTI-CYLINDER INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten length of welding of an outer shell member and an exhaust pipe 8 to a flange plate and reduce size and weight in an exhaust manifold boring an exhaust gas pass through hole 5 communicating to each exhaust port on a flange plate 3 bonded on a side surface having an exhaust port of each cylinder opened in an internal combustion engine and having a shell member formed in a section groove shape welded/bonded on an outer surface of the flange plate to form an exhaust chamber 7 opening the each exhaust gas pass through hole with the shell member and the flange plate. SOLUTION: One end in a longitudinal direction of the shell member is closed and an open end part 6b is constructed on another end. An exhaust pipe is inserted in the open end part to make a side surface of the exhaust pipe contact the outer surface of the flange plate.
