PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a length adjuster of the hip girth in a belt part of trousers or skirts, etc., designed to simplify the assembly of the length adjuster or reduce the thickness of the whole tool for regulation by restudying each member of the length adjuster with a focus on a spring member urging an operation piece upward and elastically supporting the operation piece. SOLUTION: The length adjuster 1 for the hip girth is obtained as follows. The operation piece 14 for pressing downward is housed in a slider 11 and a guide belt 15 coming into surface contact with the operation piece 14 is passed through the slider 11. The operation piece 14 and the belt 15 have a plurality of protrusions 147 and 152 having a relationship engaging with the operation piece 14 and the guide belt 15. Only when the operation piece 14 is pressed downward, the mutual engagement of the protrusions 147 and 152 is released. In the length adjuster 1 for the hip girth, an elastic spring piece 142 is installed protrusively from the operation piece 14 and supporting surfaces 131 are provided in the slider 11. The operation piece 14 is designed so that the elastic spring piece 142 is brought into contact with the supporting surfaces 131 of the slider 11 from the upper side and the operation piece 14 is returned upward by restoring force of the elastic spring piece 142 elastically deformable according to the downwardly pressed operation piece 14.
