摘要 The combustion system for burning fuel in presence of oxidation agent has a heat exchanger (44,48) with first member defining a catalysing path extending along a first axis, and a second member defining a cooling path extending along a second axis. The two paths are in thermal contact and a catalyser mounted inside the catalysing path burns the fuel with the oxidation agent which is designed first to pass by the catalysing path through the cooling path so that it absorbs the thermal energy from the catalysing path. The catalysing member, cooling pipes and ducts together define a flow path for the oxidation agent so that the latter on passing through the ducts and pipes absorbs thermal energy. Independent claim describes method for burning fuel in presence of atmospheric air whilst eliminating nitrous oxide compounds.
