PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that, in conventional type combine harvesters, since an engine is arranged at the front side of a machine body, the longitudinal weight balance of the whole machine body is displaced forward and since the engine is arranged below a driver seat, maintenance is not readily carried out, by installing the engine between a riding type operation part at the front side and a grain tank at the rear side. SOLUTION: In this combine harvester having such constitution that the riding type operation part is arranged at the front side, the grain tank is installed at the rear side and a part or the whole of the engine is laid between the riding type operation part and the grain tank, the grain tank is equipped with a fulcrum for opening and closing a shakable, openable and closable engine cover for covering the outside of the engine.
