The present invention refers to a novel musical instrument having seven strings and known as alfarra, which has a unique musical structure and anatomic design. The purpose of the invention is to provide a simple and wider musical alternative due to the number of strings and the corresponding tuning said instrument has.The tuning of the strings is the following: 1st Fa; 2nd Do; 3rd Sol; 4th Re; 5th LA; 6th Mi; 7th Si. Five combinations are obtained and form the basis of the musical structure of the alfarra instrument, said combinations being shown in the following soundboard: (see soundboard).
