The in vitro serological diagnostic method for detecting the presence and preferably the quantity of immunoglobulins of a microbial antigen characteristic of a microbial agent in a sample of serum taken from a Class M patient includes monitoring of a possible rheumatoid factor in the test sample by placing the sample in contact with a solid support, e.g. of latex micro-balls, on which a first antigen corresponding to a non-specific Class G immunoglobulin has been fixed, is new. The contact is made in the presence of a first detection substance to see if the non-specific Class G immunoglobulin reacts with it.</p> |
