The device includes an AND gate (14) with an input receiving an event signal, another input receiving a state signal output from an OR gate (16) and a third input receiving a binary intermediary signal which changes value simultaneously with a binary initialisation signal (R). The OR gate receives one input from the output of the AND gate and another input receives the complement of the binary intermediary signal. An independent claim is also included for an asynchronous storage system comprising multiple asynchronous storage devices.
