The process involves recording current values acquired by electric drive of a DC commutator motor. Frequency spectrums characterizing rotational position of the DC commutator motor are obtained during a predetermined time period. The frequency spectrums are differentiated in a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) of a digital signal processor, and rotation speed of a DC commutator motor is determined. An independent claim is also included for an application of a DC commutator motor drive force determining process for a door controlling apparatus, vehicle seat controlling apparatus, windshield washer motor and sunroof motor.
