Method of obtaining new complexes of Y (III) or of lanthanides (III) with the general formula LnL3 - nH2O, where: Ln refers to Y(III) or a lanthanide (III), from lanthanum to lutetium, to the exclusion of promethium; L refers to the radical of 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid, called o-pyrocatechuic acid; n refers to the number of particles of crystallisation water. Unique characteristics: Yttrium (III) carbonate or lanthanide (III) carbonate, preferably in the form of a freshly-precipitated sediment washed with water, is subjected to a reaction with 2,3-dihydroxybenzoic acid in a 1-1.5 molar water solution, while stoicheiometric surplus of carbonate is maintained at the level of 8-15 percent, preferably 10 percent. After filtering the surplus of ammonium carbonate, the resultant solution is left for 96 to 120 hours at room temperature to crystallize. The educed crystalline or amorphous precipitate is filtered, washed with water and dried at the temperature of 303 K for 72-120 hours, until a solid mass is obtained. |
