PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding rail member which has a simple structure and enables smooth sliding movements without the generation of no frictional noises, and a sliding rail structure. SOLUTION: The sliding rail member is constituted by welding metallic, round-shaped bars of a circular section or a cylinder to two corner parts inside a long metallic member with a U-shaped section. The sliding rail member responds to needs of any length by cutting into a piece of a required length. The structure of the sliding rail enables a main body of a movable member to slide smoothly without making frictional noises by placing the sliding rail member in the lateral direction and by inserting the end part of the movable member with plastic cushioning materials adhered and joined to both end parts between two metallic, round-shaped bars located at the upper and lower parts of the respective sliding rail members.
