PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe which enables a user to easily identifies the machine kind of the ultrasonic probe even in the case of usage in a dark place and provides excellent operability. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe exchanges ultrasonic wave with the inside of the body of a subject and transmits a reception signal to an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus main body, wherein at least a part of a housing to surround a piezoelectric element for exchanging the ultrasonic wave is constituted of a phosphorescene material.
